The Miami Heat defeated the Indiana Pacers 113-104 on Wednesday night at FTX Arena. Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 27 points, while Tyler Herro added 22 points off the bench. The Heat improve to 26-23 on the season, while the Pacers fall to 23-26.
The Heat got off to a hot start, taking a 10-point lead in the first quarter. The Pacers fought back in the second quarter, but the Heat were able to maintain their lead going into halftime. In the third quarter, the Pacers cut the lead to four points, but the Heat were able to pull away in the fourth quarter.
Butler was aggressive from the start, scoring 11 points in the first quarter. He was also a force on the defensive end, with three steals and two blocks. Herro provided a spark off the bench, hitting four three-pointers. Bam Adebayo also had a solid game, finishing with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
The Pacers were led by Tyrese Haliburton, who had 22 points and 10 assists. Myles Turner added 18 points and 12 rebounds. The Pacers shot just 41.1% from the field, including 29.6% from three-point range.
The Heat will be back in action on Friday night when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Pacers will be back in action on Saturday night when they host the New York Knicks.
