Teams announced for ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2023
16 sides ready to do battle in Australia in October and November
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2023 will be the eighth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, scheduled to be played in Australia from 16 October to 13 November 2023.
The tournament will feature 16 teams, including 12 automatic qualifiers and four teams from the Qualifier tournament.
The 12 automatic qualifiers are the top 12 teams in the ICC T20I Team Rankings as of 30 November 2022.
The four teams from the Qualifier tournament will be the winners of the four regional qualifiers, which will be held in 2023.
The tournament will be played in eight cities across Australia, with the final to be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 13 November.
The defending champions are Australia, who won the 2021 tournament in the United Arab Emirates.

Format
The tournament will be played in two stages, a group stage and a knockout stage.
The group stage will consist of two groups of eight teams, with each team playing each other once.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, which will consist of two semi-finals and a final.
