Two Local Volleyball Powerhouses Square Off Friday

Two of the top local high school volleyball teams will square off Friday night as the Hamilton Huskies (10-1) host the O'Connor Eagles (9-2) in a non-district rivalry match.

Both teams are coming off big wins this past weekend. The Huskies defeated the MacArthur Brahmas in three sets (25-15, 25-18, 25-21), while the Eagles swept the Brandeis Broncos in straight sets (25-17, 25-15, 25-12).

With both teams expected to contend for the district championship this season, Friday's match will be a good early-season test for both squads.

O'Connor Eagles: Pass well and run a balanced offense. Take advantage of the Huskies' weaknesses and exploit any mismatches. Play with confidence and belief.

First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Hamilton High School.
