Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, has announced that it will be retiring two of its iconic roller coasters, Kingda Ka and Rolling Thunder, at the end of the 2022 season. Rolling Thunder, a classic wooden coaster, has been operating at Six Flags Great Adventure since 1979.

To replace the departing coasters, Six Flags Great Adventure will be introducing two new roller coasters for the 2023 season: Jersey Devil and Big Thrills. Jersey Devil, a high-speed, multi-launch coaster, will feature a unique "batwing" inversion and speeds up to 58 miles per hour. Big Thrills, a family-friendly coaster, will offer a mix of twists, turns, and drops, catering to a wider range of thrill-seekers.
