Six candidates for Bundesliga Player of the Month award for October revealed
The nominees for the Bundesliga Player of the Month for October have been announced
The German Football Association (DFB) has revealed the six players who are in contention to be named as the Bundesliga Player of the Month for October.
The nominees are:
- Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich)
- Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen)
- Karim Adeyemi (Borussia Dortmund)
- Andre Silva (RB Leipzig)
- Max Kruse
(VfL Wolfsburg) - Christopher Nkunku
(RB Leipzig)
Kimmich has been in excellent form for Bayern Munich in October
The versatile midfielder has scored three goals and provided two assists in four Bundesliga games for the German champions during the month.
He has also been a key player for Bayern in the Champions League, starting all four of their group-stage matches.
Wirtz has continued to shine for Bayer Leverkusen
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has scored three goals and provided three assists in four Bundesliga games for Leverkusen in October.
He has also been a key player for Leverkusen in the Europa League, scoring two goals in three group-stage matches.
Adeyemi has been a revelation for Borussia Dortmund
The 19-year-old forward has scored three goals in four Bundesliga games for Dortmund in October.
He has also been a key player for Dortmund in the Champions League, scoring two goals in four group-stage matches.
Silva has been in excellent form for RB Leipzig
The Portuguese forward has scored four goals in four Bundesliga games for Leipzig in October.
