Saquon Barkley Admits Eagles 'Had the Chemistry' Before Hot Streak, Says Giants Treated Start 'Like the Preseason'
Eagles Found Their Groove While Giants Floundered
The Giants started the season 2-0, but have since lost six of their last seven games. The Eagles, on the other hand, have won six of their last seven games. Barkley said the Eagles' hot streak is due to the team's chemistry."They've had the chemistry," Barkley said. "They've been playing together for a while now. They know each other's strengths and weaknesses. They're just a well-oiled machine right now."
The Giants, on the other hand, have struggled to find their identity. Barkley said the team treated the start of the season "like the preseason."
"We didn't come out with the same intensity [as the Eagles]," Barkley said. "We didn't come out with the same focus. We didn't come out with the same energy. And it showed."
Giants Need to Find Their Identity Quickly
The Giants are now in a must-win situation. They need to win their next game against the Washington Commanders to stay in the playoff race. Barkley said the Giants need to find their identity quickly."We need to figure out who we are," Barkley said. "We need to figure out what our identity is. We need to figure out what we're good at. And we need to do it fast."
The Giants have a lot of talent on their roster. But they need to start playing together as a team if they want to make a run at the playoffs.
Eagles Are Super Bowl Contenders
The Eagles, on the other hand, look like Super Bowl contenders. They have a high-powered offense led by quarterback Jalen Hurts. And they have a tough defense led by cornerback Darius Slay."They're a complete team," Barkley said. "They're good on offense, they're good on defense, and they're good on special teams. They're a tough team to beat."
The Eagles are the favorites to win the NFC East. And they have a good chance of making a deep run in the playoffs.
