Lancashire paceman Saqib Mahmood has been selected to make his England debut in the upcoming five-match T20 series against the West Indies.
Mahmood's impressive form
Mahmood has been in impressive form for Lancashire in recent months, taking 15 wickets in the Vitality Blast and helping the Red Rose reach the quarter-finals.
The 24-year-old has also been a key member of the England Lions squad, taking 10 wickets in six matches.
England's Pace Options
Mahmood's selection is a further sign of England's strength in depth in the pace bowling department.
The likes of Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, and Chris Woakes are all established members of the England team, while Mahmood is seen as one of the most promising young pace bowlers in the country.
England's Squad
Mahmood is one of four uncapped players in England's squad for the West Indies series, along with Tom Banton, Lewis Gregory, and Matt Parkinson.
The squad also includes several experienced players, such as Eoin Morgan, Jos Buttler, and Ben Stokes.
Series Details
The first match of the series will be played at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on January 23.
The remaining four matches will be played at the Grenada National Stadium on January 26, 28, 30, and February 1.
