Pulisic, Weah lead USMNT squad for Concacaf QF
Pulisic, Weah headline 24-man roster for Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal
Duo joined by McKennie, Adams, and Turner in Gregg Berhalter's squad
Christian Pulisic and Tim Weah will lead the United States men's national team into the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals, with Gregg Berhalter naming the Chelsea and Lille forwards in his 24-man squad on Thursday.
The Americans will face Honduras in San Pedro Sula on Thursday, June 23, with the winner advancing to the semifinals against either Mexico or Costa Rica.
Pulisic and Weah are the headline acts in a squad that also includes Weston McKennie, Tyler Adams, and Zack Steffen.
McKennie has been in excellent form for Juventus this season, while Adams has impressed for RB Leipzig and Steffen has been a key figure for Manchester City.
Other notable inclusions include Gio Reyna, who has broken into the Borussia Dortmund first team this season, and Sergiño Dest, who has been a regular for Barcelona.
The squad is without several key players, including Giovani Reyna, who is injured, and Jordan Morris, who is suspended.
Berhalter said he was pleased with the squad he had selected and was confident that the United States could go all the way in the tournament.
"We have a good mix of experience and youth in this squad, and I think we have the quality to win this tournament," Berhalter said.
"We know it will be a tough challenge, but we are confident in our ability to get the job done."
