Linkin Park to Perform First Area Concert in More Than 10 Years
Tickets on Sale Now for August 21 Show at Ak-Chin Pavilion
After more than a decade, Linkin Park fans in the Valley are finally getting what they've been waiting for.
The Grammy Award-winning rock band has announced that it will perform at Ak-Chin Pavilion on August 21 as part of its first major North American tour in years.
Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, March 10, through Live Nation.
Linkin Park has not performed in the Phoenix area since 2012, when it played a sold-out show at the same venue.
The band's last album, "One More Light," was released in 2017 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The upcoming tour will be the band's first since the death of lead singer Chester Bennington in 2017.
Mike Shinoda, the band's other lead singer, has said that the band will continue to make music and perform live without Bennington.
"We're not going to replace Chester," Shinoda said in an interview with Billboard. "We're going to keep his memory alive by continuing to play his music and by sharing our memories of him with our fans."
