Lady Bears Open Road Slate at Wichita State

The Missouri State Lady Bears (0-1) will open their road slate on Sunday (Nov. 13) at Wichita State (1-0) in non-conference action inside Charles Koch Arena. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.Scouting the Shockers
Wichita State opened its season with an 86-55 home win over Southwestern Oklahoma State on Monday (Nov. 7). The Shockers shot 49.3 percent from the field in the victory and forced 21 turnovers, including 13 steals.
Wichita State was picked eighth in the American Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll after going 14-16 (7-11 AAC) last season.
Jada Peacock led the Shockers with 21 points in their season opener, while Trajata Colbert added 17 points and Carla Bremaud had 10.
Scouting the Lady Bears
Missouri State opened its season with a 74-62 home loss to Arkansas State on Tuesday (Nov. 8) at Great Southern Bank Arena. The Lady Bears shot just 35.6 percent from the field and were outrebounded 44-36 in the loss.
Abby Hipp led the Lady Bears with 17 points, while Sydney Wilson added 15 points and Elle Ruffridge had 11.
Missouri State was picked seventh in the Missouri Valley Conference preseason coaches poll after going 9-18 (7-11 MVC) last season.
Series History
Sunday’s meeting will be the first between Missouri State and Wichita State since the 2018-19 season. The Shockers hold a 5-3 advantage in the all-time series.
