Kyrie Irving ruled out for Mavericks against Jazz
Kyrie Irving will miss the Dallas Mavericks' game against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night due to right calf soreness, the team announced.
It will be the second straight game that Irving has missed since being traded to the Mavericks from the Brooklyn Nets last week.
Irving is averaging 27.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game this season.
Quentin Grimes could get the start
With Irving out, Quentin Grimes could get the start at point guard for the Mavericks.
Grimes has started 10 games this season for the New York Knicks and is averaging 9.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
He is a good defender and can also knock down shots from the outside.
Mavericks looking to snap losing streak
The Mavericks are looking to snap a three-game losing streak against the Jazz.
Dallas is 2-2 against Utah this season, but has lost the last two meetings.
The Mavericks are 27-25 on the season and are in sixth place in the Western Conference.
