K-State's Jerome Tang Gives High Praise Toward Guard Brendan Hausen Through Two Games
Kansas State's Jerome Tang is showering high praise on his starting point guard, Brendan Hausen.
Hausen put up 21 points, 10 assists, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals against the University of North Dakota. Hausen continued his great play against the University of California- Davis, scoring 25 points while grabbing 7 rebounds.
Tang said, "I'm really excited about what I've seen from Brendan so far. He's a great leader and he's got a lot of talent. He's only going to get better as the season goes on."
Tang was impressed with Hausen in particular with his ability to make plays for others.
Hausen had 10 assists against UND and 6 assists against UC Davis. Tang said, "He's a really good passer and he's always looking to make the extra pass. He's going to be a great player for us this season."
Hausen is a transfer from Kirkwood Community College.
He was a first-team all-conference selection last season. Hausen is averaging 23 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 8 assists per game this season. He's also shooting 50% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range.
Tang said, "I'm really happy that we were able to get Brendan here. He's a great addition to our team. He's a hard worker and he's always willing to learn. I'm excited to see what he can do for us this season."
