Heat's Nikola Jovic: Expected to play with mask
He's expected to have a mask made for his injured nose
Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic is expected to play with a mask after suffering a broken nose in a preseason game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Jovic was injured in the first quarter of the Heat's 104-98 win when he was inadvertently hit in the face by Pelicans center Jaxson Hayes. Jovic was able to finish the game, but he was taken to the locker room for X-rays after the game. The X-rays confirmed that Jovic had suffered a broken nose.
Jovic is expected to miss 1-2 weeks
Jovic is expected to miss 1-2 weeks with the injury. He will be re-evaluated in one week to determine if he can start practicing with a mask. If he is able to practice with a mask, he could return to action as early as next week. However, if he is unable to practice with a mask, he could miss more time.
The Heat are hoping that Jovic will be able to return to action as soon as possible. The 20-year-old forward is expected to play a key role for the Heat this season. He is a skilled scorer and rebounder, and he has the potential to be a valuable asset for the Heat.
