'Harry Potter' Twins James and Oliver Phelps on 'Wizards of Baking,' New HBO Series: 'People Will Always See Us as Fred and George'

The Phelps brothers, who played beloved Weasley twins Fred and George in the 'Harry Potter' films, are now starring in a new reality baking competition on HBO Max.

In 'Wizards of Baking,' James and Oliver Phelps compete against each other in a series of magical baking challenges. The show is hosted by Emmy-winning actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key, and features a panel of celebrity judges including chef Nancy Silverton and pastry chef Duff Goldman.

The Phelps brothers said they were excited to be a part of 'Wizards of Baking' because it allowed them to combine their love of baking with their passion for 'Harry Potter.' "We've always loved to bake, and we've always been fans of 'Harry Potter,'" James said. "So, when we were approached about doing this show, we were like, 'This is perfect!'"

Oliver added, "We're really excited to show people that we're not just actors. We're also really good bakers!"

The Phelps brothers are known for their mischievous sense of humor, and they bring that same energy to 'Wizards of Baking.' In one episode, they prank host Keegan-Michael Key by replacing the sugar in his cake batter with salt. "We're always trying to have a little fun," James said. "We don't take ourselves too seriously."

Despite their playful demeanor, the Phelps brothers are serious about their baking. They've been working hard to improve their skills, and they're eager to win 'Wizards of Baking.' "We're both very competitive," Oliver said. "We want to win this show!"

However, the Phelps brothers also recognize that 'Wizards of Baking' is more than just a competition. It's also a chance for them to connect with fans of 'Harry Potter.' "We know that people will always see us as Fred and George," James said. "But we're also hoping that this show will help people see us as bakers too."

Oliver added, "We want to show people that we're more than just our characters in 'Harry Potter.' We're real people with real lives and real passions. And one of our passions is baking."

'Wizards of Baking' is now streaming on HBO Max.
