Harry Kane Wins Bundesliga Player of the Month Award
Tottenham Hotspur's England captain wins the award for the first time
Kane has been in impressive form for Bayern Munich this season, scoring 10 goals in 12 appearances
Harry Kane has been named Bundesliga Player of the Month for the first time in his career, after an impressive start to the season with Bayern Munich.
The England captain has scored 10 goals in 12 appearances for the German champions, helping them to open up a five-point lead at the top of the table.
Kane has been in excellent form since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, and his goals have helped the team to win seven of their first 12 league games.
The 29-year-old is now the third English player to win the Bundesliga Player of the Month award, after Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham.
Kane's form will be a welcome boost for England ahead of the World Cup in Qatar, which starts on November 20.
Kane's goalscoring record for Bayern Munich
Kane has scored 10 goals in 12 appearances for Bayern Munich this season, including five goals in his last four games.
He is now the club's top scorer in all competitions, ahead of Robert Lewandowski, who left Bayern for Barcelona in the summer.
Kane's goals have helped Bayern to win seven of their first 12 league games, and they are now five points clear at the top of the table.
Kane's chances of winning the Ballon d'Or
Kane's impressive form for Bayern Munich has led to him being linked with a move to Real Madrid.
If he continues to score goals and help Bayern to win trophies, he could be in contention for the Ballon d'Or award.
The Ballon d'Or is awarded to the best player in the world, and it is considered to be the most prestigious individual award in football.
Kane has never won the Ballon d'Or, but he has been nominated for the award on three occasions.
