Second round of playoffs see Goshen traveling to unbeaten Cottonwood
Goshen High School's football team will travel to undefeated Cottonwood High School this Friday for the second round of the state playoffs.
The Colts, who are the two-time defending state champions, will be looking to extend their winning streak to 22 games.
Cottonwood, meanwhile, is 10-0 this season and is the top seed in the playoffs.
The Colts will need to play their best game of the season if they want to upset the Colts.
Goshen is led by senior quarterback Cade Brickhouse, who has thrown for over 2,000 yards and 25 touchdowns this season.
The Colts also have a strong running game led by senior running back Amare Carothers, who has rushed for over 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns this season.
Cottonwood is led by senior quarterback Jaxon Dart, who has thrown for over 3,000 yards and 35 touchdowns this season.
The Colts also have a strong defense led by senior linebacker Seth Neeley, who has recorded over 100 tackles this season.
The game is expected to be a close one, and it could come down to which team makes the fewest mistakes.
