FINAL TAKE: Cooper Rush's stat-line is ridiculous | Ultimate Dallas Sports Show
With Cooper Rush under center, the Dallas Cowboys have yet to lose a game.
In fact, Rush has led the Cowboys to three straight wins, including a 25-10 victory over the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
Rush's stat line in those three games is ridiculous. He has completed 68.5% of his passes for 734 yards, six touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
He also has a passer rating of 104.9.
Rush has played so well that some are starting to wonder if he should be the Cowboys' starting quarterback over Dak Prescott.
Prescott is expected to return from a thumb injury in the next few weeks, but it's possible that Rush could keep the starting job even when Prescott is healthy.
After all, Rush has played better than Prescott this season. In five games, Prescott has completed 66.3% of his passes for 1,223 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions.
He also has a passer rating of 93.2.
It's still too early to say whether Rush will be able to keep the starting job over Prescott, but he has certainly made a strong case for himself.
The Cowboys are 3-0 with Rush under center, and he has played very well. If he continues to play at this level, it will be difficult for the Cowboys to justify benching him in favor of Prescott.
Here are some of the highlights from Rush's performance against the Commanders:
- He completed 15 of 21 passes for 223 yards.
- He threw two touchdowns.
- He had a passer rating of 122.5.
Rush also led the Cowboys on a 12-play, 75-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter to put the game away.
It was a great performance by Rush, and it's clear that he is a capable quarterback.
