England secured their place in the UEFA Nations League's top tier with a 0-0 draw against 10-man Greece in their final group game at the Olympic Stadium in Athens.

England huff and puff but can't break down Greece

England dominated possession but struggled to create clear-cut chances against a well-organized Greek defence. Harry Kane had a great chance to give England the lead in the first half, but his header was well saved by Orestis Karnezis.

The visitors' task became even harder when Greece were reduced to 10 men in the 65th minute. Dimitrios Giannoulis was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Bukayo Saka.

Despite their numerical advantage, England were unable to find a breakthrough. Gareth Southgate's side had 72% possession and completed 812 passes, but they could not find a way past a resolute Greek defence.

England stay up, Greece relegated

The result means that England finish second in Group C3 behind Italy, who beat Hungary 2-0 in the other group game. Greece are relegated to League B after finishing bottom of the group without a win.

England will now turn their attention to the World Cup, which starts in Qatar on November 20. They will face Iran, the United States, and Wales in Group B.
