Dickinson State Blue Hawks Fall to No. 24 Jamestown Jimmies

Blue Hawks take a tough loss to 24th-ranked Jimmies

Dickinson State University men's basketball team suffered a tough loss in their home opener against the No. 24-ranked Jamestown Jimmies on Tuesday night in Bismarck, North Dakota. The Fighting Hawks fell 104-93 to their conference rivals, despite a season-high 31 points from senior guard Tajavis Miller.

The Jimmies, who are the defending Great Plains Athletic Conference champions, pulled away early and built a double-digit lead in the first half. They also made 14 three-pointers in the game. Dickinson State, which upset Jamestown earlier this month, was unable to recover and fell to 3-3 on the season while the Jimmies improved to 6-0.

Miller led the way for the Fighting Hawks

Miller led the Fighting Hawks with 31 points and seven three-pointers. He was the only Dickinson State player in double figures. Forward Drew Cole added 22 points and guard Travis Buriss contributed 17 points off the bench.

The Fighting Hawks conclude their three-game homestand on Saturday, November 26 against Dakota Wesleyan University at 3 p.m.
