Commanders, Wale team up to host Prince George's Co. football clinic

Washington Commanders and Grammy-nominated artist Wale will host a free football clinic for youth in Prince George's County, Maryland.

The clinic will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, Maryland.

The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 8-14 and will feature instruction from Commanders coaches and players, as well as Wale. The clinic will also include drills, games and activities designed to teach the fundamentals of football and promote healthy lifestyles. "We are excited to partner with Wale to host this free football clinic for the youth of Prince George's County," said Commanders President Jason Wright. "Wale is a role model for our community and we are grateful for his support of our efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of young people." The Commanders and Wale have a long history of working together to support the community. In 2021, the Commanders and Wale partnered to launch the "Wale it Out" initiative, which provides free football clinics and equipment to underprivileged youth in the DMV area.
