Brotherly Shove Caps Off 76-Yard Eagles' TD Drive
Hurts, Sanders Give Eagles Lead Over Texans
In a thrilling finish to an otherwise sluggish first half, the Philadelphia Eagles took a 14-7 lead over the Houston Texans thanks to an unlikely source: running back Kenneth Gainwell.
With just seconds remaining in the half, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts scrambled for a 20-yard gain to put his team on the cusp of the end zone.
Gainwell's Shove Propels Eagles to TD
As Hurts slid to the ground, his brother, Eagles linebacker Javon Hargrave, gave him a friendly shove that sent him into the end zone. The touchdown capped off a 76-yard drive that had stalled just short of the goal line.
The play was initially ruled a fumble, but a replay review overturned the call and gave the Eagles the touchdown.
Sanders Adds Second Eagles TD
On the ensuing drive, the Texans responded with a touchdown of their own, but the Eagles quickly regained the lead when Miles Sanders broke free for a 41-yard touchdown run.
The Eagles, who came into the game with a disappointing 1-3 record, have now won two straight games.
