China achieved a 1-0 win against Bahrain in the Asia World Cup Qualifiers

China defeated Bahrain 1-0 in an Asia World Cup Qualifier match on Tuesday, September 20th.

Zhang Yuning scored the only goal of the match in the 69th minute.

The win moves China up to second place in Group B, while Bahrain remains in fifth place.

China controlled possession for most of the match.

Bahrain had a few chances to equalize in the final minutes, but they were unable to find the back of the net.

"We're very happy with the win," said China head coach Li Tie.

"We knew that Bahrain would be a tough opponent, but we played well and deserved the victory.

"This is a big win for us, and it gives us a lot of confidence going into the next match.

Bahrain head coach Helio Sousa was disappointed with the result, but he praised his team's effort.

"We played well, but we made one mistake and it cost us the match," said Sousa.

"We're still in the race for qualification, and we will fight until the end.
