Historic Victory Shatters Records
The Wisconsin Badgers football team made history on Saturday, crushing the visiting Michigan State Spartans by a score of 52-17. The victory marked the Badgers' largest margin of victory over Michigan State in program history and extended their home winning streak to 10 games.
Quarterback Graham Mertz led the Badgers' offensive onslaught, throwing for 260 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Braelon Allen added 119 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The Badgers' defense also played a dominant role, limiting Michigan State to just 282 total yards and forcing three turnovers.
Record-Breaking Performance
The Badgers' 52 points were the most they have scored against Michigan State since 1968. The victory also extended the Badgers' Big Ten home winning streak to 18 games, the longest such streak in the conference.
Allen's 119 rushing yards moved him into fourth place on Wisconsin's all-time rushing list. The sophomore running back now has 2,123 career rushing yards, just 33 yards behind Jonathan Taylor for third place.

The victory over Michigan State was a statement win for the Badgers, who are now 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in Big Ten play. The Badgers have looked dominant in their first four games, outscoring their opponents by an average of 41 points per game.
The Badgers will look to continue their winning ways next Saturday when they travel to Ohio State to face the Buckeyes. Ohio State is currently ranked No. 2 in the AP Top 25 poll, while Wisconsin is ranked No. 12.
