Tigers Fall to Alabama State Hornets 21-16
BATON ROUGE, La. - The LSU Tigers fell to the Alabama State Hornets 21-16 on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium. The loss drops LSU to 4-4 on the season, while Alabama State improves to 5-3.
The Tigers were led by quarterback Jayden Daniels, who threw for 253 yards and a touchdown. Kayshon Boutte led the receiving corps with 106 yards on six catches.
Alabama State was led by quarterback Ryan Nettles, who threw for 197 yards and a touchdown. Jahod Booker led the Hornets with 103 yards rushing.
The game was close throughout, with neither team able to pull away. Alabama State took a 10-7 lead into the half, but LSU tied the game early in the third quarter on a 34-yard touchdown pass from Daniels to Boutte.

The Tigers had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but Daniels' pass to Boutte in the end zone was intercepted by Alabama State's Ezra Gray.
The loss is a major setback for LSU, who now must win their remaining four games to become bowl eligible.
