After the Setback, Messi Arrives in Argentina for the Double Fixture of Qualifiers

The Argentine National Team suffered a heavy blow after losing to Venezuela in the seventh round of the Qualifiers. However, the team led by Lionel Messi will seek to recover and add up three points in the double fixture against Uruguay and Brazil.

The Albiceleste will face Uruguay on Friday the 12th at the Campeón del Siglo stadium, in Montevideo. Then, on Tuesday the 16th, the team will host Brazil at the Bicentenario stadium in the province of San Juan.

The National Team's captain, Lionel Messi, arrived in Argentina on Monday night and joined the rest of the delegation that will face the double fixture of the Qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Messi, who missed the last match against Venezuela due to suspension, will be the main attraction of the Albiceleste that needs to add up three points to stay in the qualifying zone for the World Cup.

The team led by Lionel Scaloni comes from a heavy 3-1 defeat against Venezuela in Caracas and will seek to recover in front of its people against Uruguay and Brazil, two of the toughest rivals in the Qualifiers.

Argentina is currently in second place in the standings with 15 points, six behind leader Brazil and one ahead of Ecuador and Uruguay, who have 13 points.

The double fixture of the Qualifiers will be key for the Albiceleste's aspirations to qualify for the World Cup and Messi's presence will be essential for the team to achieve its goal.
