11 Krasnodar players called up to national teams
Russian Premier League club FC Krasnodar has announced that 11 of its players have been called up to their respective national teams for the upcoming international break.
The players called up are:
- Goalkeepers Matvei Safonov and Stanislav Agkatsev (Russia)
- Defenders Sergey Petrov, Kaio, and Christian Ramirez (Russia)
- Midfielders Eduard Spertsyan (Armenia), Alexander Chernikov (Russia), and Aleksei Ionov (Russia)
- Forwards John Cordoba (Colombia), Erik Botheim (Norway), and Jhon Cordoba (Colombia)
The players will join their national teams for training and preparation ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Russia will face Croatia and Cyprus, while Armenia will take on Liechtenstein and Iceland.
Colombia will play against Peru and Argentina, and Norway will face Gibraltar and Turkey.
Krasnodar is currently in fifth place in the Russian Premier League, with 24 points from 15 matches. The club will resume its league campaign on November 20th, when they travel to face Ural Yekaterinburg.
